Tamar Lev-On (b. 1978) is an Israeli artist, a graduate of Tel Aviv University (Architecture Department) and Kingston University, London (Art department), both with honors. Her work mainly explores fictional narratives. She often features her portrait in a fake identity, woven into real and local histories or made up and site-specific ones.
Lev-On regularly participates in solo and group exhibitions in Israel and abroad, including two Venice Biennials (2009, 2011). She is a regular member of collaborative groups such as the South London Women Artists and in recent years P8 Cooperative Gallery. She also lectures in various academic institutions, teaching the interfaces of Art and Architecture.
