Elinor Sahm | אלינור סאם

Elinor Sahm (b.1986) is a Tel-Aviv and Berlin-based multidisciplinary artist. She holds a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem (2013), and is a graduate of Bezalel’s exchange program with the UDK, Berlin (2012). She is currently managing the printmaking workshop of Shenkar College of Engineering, Design, and Art, Ramat Gan. Her work was exhibited in solo and group shows in galleries, contemporary art spaces and festivals in Israel and abroad.

In her work, Sahm is dealing with notions of self-denial, escapism, and repression as a survival mechanism of the human soul, while addressing both personal and social issues. She creates drawings, sculptures, and installations using a variety of materials, transformed from their raw state into a spectacle of deception.
