Dana Harel is an Israeli artist. In her works, she uses synthetic materials in order to create an organic experience.
Shrinking, mixed media on canvas, 100×100 cm, 2020
In the White Series Harel is spilling white substances that have been taken from the construction industry, while occasionally changing their amounts and conditions. The cracks are then created by themselves, with their shape dependent on the weather (both inside and outside of the studio) and on the movement of the materials. The final shape can never be predicted or re-created.
