Aya Eliav | איה אליאב

Aya Eliav (b. 1977) is an Israeli multimedia artist currently living and working in Barcelona, Spain. She has degrees in visual communication from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and from the Academy of Fine Arts, Rome. Eliav’s multi-media body of work deals with a wide range of socio-political topic, and is characterized by an intimate and reflective gaze isolating elements, objects, and moments.

Eliav has participated in solo and group exhibitions worldwide. Among the main institutions displaying her work: Galeria ArtVentures, California; Galeria Vanguardia, Bilbao; Art Revolution Taipei, Taiwan; Bim – Bienal de imagen en movimiento, Buenos Aires; The Barbican Institute, London; Haifa museum of art , Israel; Videobrasil Festival, Sao Pauolo, Brasil; Optica Festival – Madrid, Giron, Buenos Aires; National Museum of Art, Beijing, China.
