Moshe Roas | משה רואס

Moshe Roas (b. 1981, Israel) is a sculptor based in Tel-Aviv. He is a graduate of the Shenkar Engineering & Design College in Tel-Aviv, and has a Postgraduate degree from the Fine Art Program, at Hamidrasha, Beit-Berl. Roas creates sculptures, installations and prints which evoke a unique environmental experience, inspired by textile and traditional crafts. His works reflect his interest in organic and artificial materials transformed by natural forces and time.

Roas has won a number of scholarships and awards such as “Same Sky Same Land” scholarship (2015), award of Excellence “Talente 2009” International Exhibition, Germany and “Award for Art and Design In the field of Textile Design” from the Ministry of Culture (2014). He exhibited a solo exhibition  at Periscope Gallery, Tel-Aviv (2013) and participated in many group exhibitions.
