Tal Bear (b. 1986) is an Israeli painter based in Jerusalem, creating and working as an art therapist with a Lacanian orientation. Bear’s works, using varying materials, function as a kind of sabotage – a gift that has both a complex and a transgressive message. The quick pictorial action of painting is related the attempt of grasping something of the elusive truth, which cannot be spoken in the language.
