Meital Katz-Minerbo (b. 1974) is an Israeli artist, currently living and working in Tel-Aviv. She holds an MFA from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2007) and a B.Ed from Hamidrasha Beit Berl (2000). She also graduated from the Illustration Program at The Instittuto de Diseño de Caracas (1994). Katz-Minerbo grew up in Venezuela. Being a woman and an immigrant has motivated her to invent a visual narrative that can represent her experience in a critical and creative way. Therefore, her art engages with the representation of what it is to be an outsider. Through an interdisciplinary range of practices such as painting, drawing, printing, collage, sculpture and fashion design, she creates paradigmatic and encoded artistic events (installations).
Katz-Minerbo’s work has been shown at the Oscar Niemeyer Museum in Curitiba, Brazil, MACRO Testachio Museum and The Gallery Apart in Italy, The Haifa Museum for Contemporary Art, Ein Hod Museum, Jerusalem Artist’s House and Alon Segev Gallery in Israel.
